Verona Hills Events:

The Verona Hills Homes Association hosts several neighborhood events for our residents throughout the year. You can find us on Facebook for past and current news. Please contact a Board member if you are interesting in getting involved or would like to volunteer.

In the Spring Verona Hills hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt at Migliazzo Park usually attended by over 200 Verona Hills’ residents. Children and grandchildren 10 and under have a chance to meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for over 2500 colorful Easter eggs filled with candy and many prizes from local vendors. All residents are invited to stop by for refreshments and donuts and participate in giveaways, regardless if you have a child in the “hunt”! You don’t want to miss this 15 minutes of the fastest action you’ll ever see in the park.

Verona Hills sponsors an annual Garage Sale usually set for late summer or early fall by providing signage and banners throughout the neighborhood and a group listing on Craigslist, allowing residents a chance to declutter and pick up a little cash. With over 40 participants, you’re sure to find a bargain!

As a service to our community, the Verona Hills Homes Association coordinates a Service Day in the fall with activities including trimming trees and brush, collecting trash and bulky items and staffing a collection site for some recycling items. This is a great opportunity to volunteer and get involved.

You can enjoy a relaxed evening at Migliazzo Park for our neighborhood Fall Festival. We provide the food, entertainment and activities for the kids including an appearance from our local fire department.

The Annual Meeting of the Verona Hills Homes Association will be held In October/November (date to be announced) at a local facility with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks along with guest speakers and door prizes. This is a great time to join your neighbors and board members to share our vision and commitment for Verona Hills.

Back by popular demand, Movie Night in the Park!    On Saturday, August 13, we brought Movie Night back to Migliazzo Park with a sundown screening of the family?friendly 2016 animated hit “Zootopia” on a 12’ inflatable screen. It was one last night the kiddos could stay up late before school started back up.  Popcorn and Kona Ice snow cones were provided courtesy of the Homes Association and families gathered on blankets and tailgating chairs to watch the movie. A great time was had by all 200+ residents!  We hope to make this an annual event going forward.

Verona Hills Upcoming Events:

August 13 - Back, due to high demand, is Movie Night in the Park!  Families, please join us for an evening of fun and entertainment at the resurrected Annual Movie Night at Migliazzo Park.  We will pop popcorn and have refreshments, set up a projector and inflatable screen.  Bring the kids out to play and then we will play a popular family movie once the sun goes down.  Exact show time and movie title will be communicated at a later date.  A great last “hurrah” before it’s back to school!

September 15-17 - Annual Verona Hills Garage Sale.  Clean out the garage and make a few bucks in the process!  The sale will take place Thursday through Saturday.  There will be a Goodwill donation truck Sunday morning for unsold items that could benefit the less fortunate. An email invite will be coming out soon for you to RSVP so we can get a headcount and make sure we have enough yard signs.  The sale will be advertised to maximize exposure.

October 1 - Annual Verona Hills Service Day.  Help keep our neighborhood beautiful and our sidewalks clear of overgrowth from the easement trees.  We will meet at 8:00 in the Nazarene Church parking lot, assemble teams and assign them to “raise” the sidewalk trees on needed streets in the neighborhood.  We rent pole saws and chain saws and put all trimmings at the curb to be picked up the following Monday.  A word to the wise, not coincidentally, those who volunteer usually wind up having their street freshened up and looking good!

October 1 - Celebrate all the morning’s hard work at the Annual Fall Festival at Migliazzo Park.  We will have burgers and dogs, snacks and refreshments, a bounce house, games for the kiddos and live music.  For new neighbors and those who have never attended, it is a great time to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and get to know some of your neighbors.

November 10 - Avila University has graciously agreed to again host VH for our Annual Meeting.  It will be held on campus at the Whitfield Center from 6:30 to 8:00.  Get an overview of the financial standing of the Homes Association and updates on topics that affect our neighborhood.  Stay tuned for further details on speakers and agenda items.  And, don’t forget the great door prizes!
