Verona Hills Events:
The Verona Hills Homes Association hosts several neighborhood events for our residents throughout the year. For 2020 and the first part of 2021, most of our events have been postponed or canceled due to COVID-19. You can find us on Facebook for past and current news. Please contact a Board member if you are interesting in getting involved or would like to volunteer.
In the Spring, Verona Hills typically hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt at Migliazzo Park. It usually attended by over 200 Verona Hills’ residents. Children and grandchildren (ages 10 and under) have a chance to meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for over 2500 colorful Easter eggs filled with candy and many prizes from local vendors. All residents are invited to stop by for refreshments and donuts and participate in giveaways, regardless if you have a child in the “hunt”. You don’t want to miss this 15 minutes of the fastest action you’ll ever see in the park!
Verona Hills usually sponsors an annual Garage Sale usually set for late summer or early fall by providing signage and banners throughout the neighborhood, allowing residents a chance to declutter and pick up a little cash. As a service to our community, the Verona Hills Homes Association also coordinates a Service Day in the fall with activities including trimming trees and brush, collecting trash and bulky items and staffing a collection site for some recycling items. This is a great opportunity to volunteer and get involved.
You can also enjoy a relaxed evening at Migliazzo Park for our neighborhood Fall Festival. We provide the food, entertainment and activities for the kids including an appearance from our local fire department. Back by popular demand, Movie Night in the Park!
The Annual Meeting of the Verona Hills Homes Association is typically held In November at a local facility with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks along with guest speakers and door prizes. This is a great time to join your neighbors and board members to share our vision and commitment for Verona Hills.

September (TBD 2021) - Annual Verona Hills Garage Sale. Clean out the garage and make a few bucks in the process! The sale will take place Friday through Saturday. Signs may be picked up the week of the sale. There is typically a donation truck on Saturday afternoon at Migliazzo Park for unsold items that could benefit the less fortunate. Be prepared to help load the items, especially the heavier ones. The sale will be advertised to maximize exposure.
October (TBD 2021) - Celebrate all the morning’s hard work at the Annual Fall Festival at Migliazzo Park, from 4:30-7:30. We will have burgers and dogs, snacks and refreshments, a bounce house, games for the kiddos and live music. For new neighbors and those who have never attended, it is a great time to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and get to know some of your neighbors.
November/December (TBD) - If not held virtually, a nearby location will host VH for our Annual Meeting. (In 2020, this meeting was held via video conference. In 2019, it was held at Avila University on campus at the Whitfield Center from 6:30 to 8:00.) Attendees receive an overview of the financial standing of the Homes Association and updates on topics that affect our neighborhood. Stay tuned for further details on speakers and agenda items.
