2016 Verona Hills Homes Association Fall Festival/Service Day

Saturday, October 1 for all residents

Fall is upon us!  Once again, we are pleased to bring you the Verona Hills Service Day from 8:00 AM - Noon.  Help keep our neighborhood beautiful and our sidewalks clear of tree overgrowth on the city easements.  We will meet at 8:00 in the Nazarene Church parking lot, assemble teams and assign them to prune the trees along street sides.  We will rent pole saws and put all trimmings curbside to be picked up the following Monday.  Then, join us for Fall Festival in Migliazzo Park from 5:00-8:00 PM.  After a hard morning’s work  trimming and raising our curbside trees for Service Day, come on out to the park for some fun for the whole family!  We will again have Two Guys and a Grill providing burgers, dogs, potato salad, beans and chips.  There will be lemonade, tea and bottled water, but feel free to bring your own refreshments.  Other highlights include:
-Cotton candy machine
-Kansas City Police Dept. Mounted Patrol
-Kansas City Fire Dept. will bring an engine for the kids to tour
-Balloon artist
-Face painting
-Bounce obstacle course for the big kids
-Bounce house for the younger ones
-Raffle drawings!
In order to get a headcount for food, please RSVP as soon as possible but no later than Monday, September 26, to kf.veronahoa@gmail.com, or info@veronahills.org.  Please indicate the number of adults, kids, and toddlers who will be attending.  In addition, please indicate if you would be willing to help on the day of the event.  We will need some help manning the bounce houses, cotton candy machine, and to clean up and break everything down at the end of the night.  No one will be expected to work for more than an hour.
